Fall 2008. The 9 Patch Block Friendship Star has origins dating back to the 1700’s. Folklore holds that as folks moved away from their homesteads, they were often given a Friendship Star quilt to remind them of their family and friends back home. Each bear in the Quiltin’ Bee Bears collection include an authentic quilt block telling its own story of friendship, family and love, and an unique bumblebee attachment.
